Sometimes reds get all the press and accolades when we talk about blending. Whites, not so much. We think that blending wonderful white varieties is really worthwhile as well and can make fascinating, fun wine. With our amazing array of choices at McKinley Springs Vineyard, we have some whites to try together as well! This particular blend is 65% Pinot Gris, 30% Chenin blanc and 5% Viognier. The Pinot Gris is a nice base of light, fresh, easy to drink wine that makes this blend super versatile and open for others to “hop on in.” The Chenin blanc adds wonderful melon and spice elements that build on the texture in the blend. The Viognier contributes a floral element but also really adds richness and just a little weight to the finish. This trio of styles really hits the mark for us. Easy to drink yet plenty of complexity and interest all at the same time. Enjoy our White meĢlange.
